The free mastering app has been rebuilt from the ground up. Starter v2 does not apply a preset and hope. It measures your track first, in the browser, and derives the whole mastering chain from what it hears. Same address, same 5 free masters, a different engine underneath.
Three ways in
- Auto. One click. Measure, derive, render at your platform's loudness target, then a loudness-matched A/B and a report.
- Manual. Pick the content type (music, podcast, voice or video), one of six character presets and a platform. The chain is still derived from the measurement; the preset sets the direction.
- Fine-tune. Open the EQ and dynamics Auto chose and edit them, by mouse or by keyboard.
What changed under the hood
Every master starts with a measurement: loudness, true peak, crest, spectral balance, stereo correlation and the artifact scores that neural audio tends to carry. The chain (tone, dynamics, cleanup, limiting) is derived from those numbers, so a dark, dense track and a thin, bright one get different treatment from the same preset. Six platform targets, each with its own loudness and true-peak ceiling: Streaming, Apple Music, YouTube, Podcast, Club and Reference.
What you get back
A WAV master (16- or 24-bit) and a mastering report that says what was measured, what was flagged and what was done about it. The A/B player matches loudness between original and master, so the louder one does not win by default.
