Vocal Clarity Engine

What it is

A three-knob vocal forward push designed for the most common vocal problems on mixed material: dull upper-mids, low-mid build-up, missing intimate top end. Each knob targets one specific area with a coupled EQ + dynamic curve, calibrated for vocal frequencies. No need to identify exact bands — turn the knob, hear what changes, dial back if it's too much.

How to use it

• Clarity opens the upper-mids (around 2-4 kHz) where vocal articulation lives — raises consonant intelligibility without making the vocal harsh
• Mud cleans the low-mid build-up (around 200-400 Hz) where vocal "boxy" / "boomy" feels live — reduces it without thinning the warmth
• Presence adds intimate top-end (around 8-12 kHz) — the breath-and-air range that brings the vocal close without sibilance
• All three default to 0% (no effect). Push gradually; small moves (10-25%) usually do the job

What it affects

Vocal-forward tracks (pop, hip-hop, singer-songwriter, AI-generated vocal material) where the vocal is buried or unclear. Works on the full master, but targets the frequency ranges where vocals live, so instrument balance is largely unaffected. Pairs well with AI Artifact Suppressor for shimmer and De-Esser for sibilance — three different tools, three different vocal problems.
