What it is
An API for AI agents and scripts, built as an MCP server (Model Context Protocol, the way Claude, ChatGPT and most agent frameworks talk to tools). Anything Auto-Master does on the site, an agent can do through the API: upload a track, analyze it, repair it, render a master, and fetch the results. The runs land in the same run history as the ones you start by hand, and they cost the same credits.
The tools
- masterforge_get_credits: your balance and what each run costs. Free.
- masterforge_create_upload: a signed upload slot for a WAV or FLAC up to 200 MB and 15 minutes.
- masterforge_analyze_track (1 credit): a measured diagnosis and a mastering plan. Nothing is changed.
- masterforge_prepare_track (1 credit): the file back with the codec artifacts repaired, Smart Preparation included.
- masterforge_master_track (3 credits): the full Auto-Master, a finished master.wav at the platform target.
- masterforge_get_run, masterforge_list_runs, masterforge_get_result_url: progress, history and download links. Free.
How to use it
- Create an API key on your account page. The key is shown once; it can be revoked there at any time.
- Point your agent at the MCP endpoint listed on the API page and give it the key. Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT and any MCP client work the same way.
- Ask for what you want in plain words: "analyze this file and then master it for Spotify". The agent walks the tools in order and polls the run until it is done; a run keeps going on the server even if the agent stops polling.
What it costs
The same credits as the site: Analysis 1, Preparation 1, Auto-Master 3. Status, history and download links are free. Pro includes 4 credits a month; packs start at 4 credits for €4.99. Any account can create a key, including a free one.
